Protein Bites that are healthy and satisfy your sweet tooth...
I love making these for those I love. Everyone asks for this recipe so now I am officially publishing it.
1 cup almond butter (or nut butter of choice)
1/3 cup honey (I use local raw honey to help with allergies)
1 cup protein powder (I use Advocare lean mass whey protein powder)
2 cups oats
3 TBSP Chia seeds (optional but adds more texture and omega 3s)
1/3- 1/2 cup water
Start mixing last ingredients and only add 1/3 cup water... then add a little more at a time to get a cookie dough consistency.
I use a medium cookie scoop and roll into balls and place in an air tight container and put in fridge. This recipe should make 24 balls and last in fridge for up to 2 weeks but at my house these babies are gone within a few days.
